Ashley Guest House - Terms and Conditions

Rates - Rates listed are per person per night based on two adults sharing a standard double or king room for a minimum of one night on a bed and breakfast package.

Cancellations - Should you wish to cancel your reservation please notify us in writing, via telephone or e-mail seven days prior to your arrival. If you cancel within seven days of your arrival then we reserve the right to charge you for the entire stay if we are unable to resell the room.

It may be advisable to take out insurance. You should consider taking out insurance cover from your normal supplier.

Supplements - Supplements will apply for a single room of £10 pppn. Please be aware that there is no single rates available on race meeting dates. A £5pppn supplement will apply to all one night stays on Fridays or Saturdays and at busy periods during the year eg Race Meetings, Bank Holidays, St Nicholas fayre etc.There is a £10 supplement per person per night during the Ebor Race Meeting.

Deposits - To secure a booking a valid credit/debit card is required.  If 3 rooms or more are required then a non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of £25 per person will be required at the time of booking.

Pets - With the exception of working dogs for disabled people, our guesthouse does not accept pets, sorry.

Smoking - We have a strict no smoking policy throughout the guesthouse. Should you choose to ignore this, you will be asked to leave and will be charged for the entire length of your stay. In addition you will be charged £100 for specialist cleaning.

Checking In - Check in times are from 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 7pm. (Check in times outside these hours must be agreed at the time of booking.)

Checking Out - Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10am on the day of departure.

Car Parking - We offer free permits to guests to park their cars on Southlands Road near the guesthouse. Please note we cannot guarantee parking outside our house during very busy periods. We also have a secure area which can hold motorbikes and bicycles. Please ask for more detail at the time of booking.

Loss/Damage to Property - Lost keys will be charged at £75.00. Rooms will be checked after departure and any breakages or damage will be charged to the occupant who used the credit/debit card to secure the booking. Ashley Guesthouse reserves the right to charge for damage, missing or soiled items using a new for old policy.

Payment - We will accept the following cards to pay your room balance;             

Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa electron, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Amex.

We also accept Sterling cash and personal cheque with a valid cheque guarantee card and as long as the balance does not exceed the guarantee amount. If you wish to pay by card then there will be no charge if you pay with a debit card but a 2% charge if you wish to pay with a credit card and a 4% charge if you wish to pay with American Express.
